Canova Tadolini Museum, a bistro between coffee and...statues!
A truly fascinating place, perfect for sipping a coffee or spending a candlelit dinner. In the heart of Rome is the Canova Tadolini, a museum restaurant that houses over two centuries of Italian sculpture…

It is January 1818; Antonio Canova is at the height of his European fame and leaves his signature to guarantee the rental contract of his suggestive atelier in Rome in favor of the promising artist Adamo Tadolini.
The atelier, located on the corner of Via del Babuino and Via dei Greci, had a strategic position, in that area of Rome already traditionally animated by artists' workshops and thus passed into the hands of his favorite student and subsequently to members of his family.
Today, inside, it jealously guards two centuries of Italian sculpture, which make it an unmissable and still secret corner of the Eternal City. Here are collected not only the sculptures, but also the tools with which they were created, together with the works, which came to light as simple exercises. It is an enchanting place full of history and artistic inspirations, born to be a museum to which, later, tables and chairs were added, until it became an elegant bistro.
For a lunch or dinner in a special place rich in history and art, Canova Tadolini is perfect: here you can taste traditional dishes but also more sophisticated recipes. There is no shortage of carbonara or cacio e pepe, nor meat and fish fillets. To conclude the experience, the view of pieces of art accompanied by a selection of homemade desserts and good wine.
