THE HISTORY OF THE EUR
The history of the EUR district has its roots in a relatively recent era: it was 1935, in fact, when, during fascism, Mussolini expressed his will to create a monumental open-air space, which could host the Universal Exposition with magnificence foreseen in Rome in 1942. Did you know that the name of the neighborhood derives from here? Initially E42, it later became EUR for the acronym "Universal Exhibition Rome".
THE LAKE OF THE EUR
The EUR lake is, without a doubt, an emblem of the neighborhood. Perfect for a walk at sunset, a morning jog or a relaxing afternoon, the lake is one of the most popular green areas by both Romans and tourists.

Next to the EUR lake, another symbol of the neighborhood is undoubtedly the Square Colosseum.
