House of the butterflies

There are 140,000 different species of butterflies in the world. 30 of these, among the most exotic, colourful, amazing you can admire them at the House of Butterflies! It is a greenhouse in which an authentic tropically environment has been recreated and in wich butterflies can flutter, lay eggs,feed and woo in spectacular and magical coerography, right before your eyes. We are a stone’s throw from Appia Antica, in an area surrounded by greenery with parking.
Strawberry Festival in Nemi

Nemi already worth a visit. It is the smallest village of the Castelli Romani right in the center of Colli Albani. A maze of small and characteristic streets with beautiful views of the hills and the lake. The first Sunday of June,however,the trip to Nemi is worth more because it is staged the Festival of Strawberries and wild strawberries. This year we are at edition number 90. The village is full of flowers and everyone can taste for free the fruits grown along the shores of the lake between historical re-enactments and folk dances. Heart of the event, the parade of “Fragolare”, the girls of the village, who for the occasion wear the ancient costume of tradition: red skirt, black corset,white blouse and lace mandrucella on the head.

A weekend in contact with the magic in nature? This June in Rome comes the first edition of the Lavender Festival. The idea is by Francesca De Iuliis, an agricultural entrepreneur, who decided to create a lavander field on the family grounds near the Sanctuary of Divine love. The intervention of Ceramiste, Erboriste,Naturopati,Artigaine e Pittrici.
